Easy Rider 5% Classic Apple Cider A generous, fresh & crisp cider. Local Nelson apples showcased in a modern, apple driven NZ style.

Oddball 5.9% Seasonal Cider Oddball has always been referred to as such in the Cidery as it is an orchard blend of eleven older and lesser-known apple varieties. All of them late-ripening - the apples for this cider were picked in early May 2019. Between them, these varieties deliver the desirable characteristics of good flavour, natural acidity and tannin to the finished beverage. Our seasonal release for Winter ’21 this cider has been a long time coming! The freshly squeezed juice was fermented in a tank with a yeast strain chosen for the spice and mouthfeel it would contribute. It then hibernated and mellowed in seasoned American oak for a grand total of 21 months. In May ’21 we held back some of the new season Oddball juice so we could back sweeten and finish this cider with its own kind. The end result is fruitful and mouth-filling. Flavours of orange and honeysuckle persist on the palate
Tokyo Rose 5% Varietal - Dry The Akane cultivar appealed to us as it has a nice bitterness to the brilliant red skins and a very perfumed aroma, which fills the orchard on a warm day. This year’s fruit was picked over several days in the first week of March. The bins were left covered in the orchard to tump (to sit and sweat) for several days before being juiced. The ensuing ferment was kept cool and slow to retain as much fruit character as possible. The finished cider has aromas of rose, jasmine, lychee and even some strawberry. To taste it is quite the fruit salad, lush and refreshing. Though sweet-fruited the overall perception of the cider and its finish is dry. New Zealand Cider Awards Trophy winner for modern cider!
